"Hi Maxim:
There are two places to store documents on Zanby.
- Your account (My Documents)
- Group documents
Each has its own privacy settings.
My Account
--------------
The privacy settings for your account, including documents, can be found
in http://yourusername/users.zanby.com/en/Privacy. In your account, you
can set your own definition of public. Private always means that only
you will see your content.
Groups
-------------
The "Private" setting in groups means that only group members will be
able to see the content.
In the use case that you describe, the only way is to create a sub group
of your original group. On Zanby, this is called a Committee. You can
call your committee, Thursday night in person meeting, or something. A
committee is formed with it's own discussion board, it's own events
calendar, and it's own document folder. The settings on the committee
can be completely private. To form a group committee, click on the
"Tools" tab in your group workspace, then click on the "Committees"
tab. There you will find a "Create Committee" link.
Hope that helps,
Zee

Can only my group view it? Does this depend on whether I save it in "My Documents" or in the group's documents? Is there any way for me to more actively choose who can and who cannot view the document?

My group also has a Zanby contingent. However, there is not a direct correlation between the people who frequent the group meetings and those that are members of my Zanby group.

They do not want to see this information made available for public viewing. In this sense "public viewing" encompasses those people who are part of my Zanby group, but do not attend group meetings personally. We want such "virtual" members to have access to a summary of group proceedings and initiatives, but to lack access to personal details. We would also like to have a third option for extending a more lenient level of discretion towards those "virtual" members who request more information.
